This lecture provides an outline for the current treatment of lower extremity stress fractures below the knee. Diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, including the indications for bone stimulation are reviewed. Difficult to heal injuries such as Navicular and proximal lateral lesser metatarsal stress fractures are explained in detail. The listener should be able to definitively diagnose and treat these injuries after completing this session.
