This lecture by Dominic Catanese introduces the use of Radiofrequency Ablation of Nerves as a treatment option for Inferior Calcaneal Heel Pain and Neuromas. The lecture reviews the history, science, indications, effects, and technique for Radiofrequency Ablation to treat heel pain and neuromas. Listener will have a clear understanding of how the procedure is performed and a better understanding of the anatomy involved. The operation of the Radiofrequency Generator and electrode placement is outlined as well as the postoperative course, benefits, and documentation. Following the lecture the listener should have a clear understanding of the emerging role of Radiofrequency Ablation in Podiatry and its execution.
