A brief history on the origin of internal fixation, the multiple different type of screws, a review of bone healing, plate function, and external fixation is also discussed.

Dr. Yung provides an indepth lecture on the complicated topic of talipes equinovarus. He begins by describing the pathological anatomy and radiographic findings present. The various etiologies are reviewed in detail, as well as manipulation and casting steps. The unique aspect of this lecture is that Dr. Yung shows photographs of the steps in a surgical correction for clubfoot including the incision, posterior release, medial release, adjunctive procedures, and complications.
