This lecture by Dr John Steinberg focuses on the importance of offloading the pressure sources and etiology of diabetic foot ulceration. Discussion includes debridement, pressure relief devices, accommodation, and surgical techniques for mechanical balancing. Several case presentations help to clarify each of these important aspects of caring for the "at risk" foot in an effort to prevent amputation.

Gordon Bosker M.Ed, CPO, CPed discusses the role of the orthotist and pedorthist as a member of the medical team for treating foot and ankle pathology. The lecture reviews the gait cycle with video demonstrations, and covers various shoe modifications and orthotic changes for different foot and ankle pathology. He additionally reviews modifications pertinent to wound healing and post-amputations.
