We at PRESENT welcome you to the start of the 2010-2011 residency year. Podiatric Residency Education is a great opportunity to improve your professional skills in a manner that will never again be available to you, once you begin your professional practice life. We encourage you all to make the most of it, and to that end, we've developed PRESENT Podiatry Residency Education Online for you. Our 132 lecture online curriculum, updated for the new residency year, is now part of the academic structure at over 90% of the nation's podiatric residency programs. Our website has already hosted over 58,000 lecture viewings. We are very proud to continue to make this resource available to you and want to make sure that you know all the best ways to take advantage of it.

PRESENT Podiatry Curriculum
The Curriculum is designed for a two or three year residency program with minimal overlap to emphasize key learning points. Although we recommend that your program utilize the Curriculum as a 'course plan' for viewing the lectures, ALL of the lectures are available for viewing at anytime.

We publish several weekly eNewsletters, or eZines, to help you best utilize PRESENT. On Sunday nights, you will receive This Week in Podiatric Residency Education, which briefly reviews the assigned lectures for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year residents, and provides LINKs to view them. You may also access the archives at https://session.podiatry.com/ezines where you'll find all of the eZines to view at your leisure. On Tuesday nights, you will receive the eZine, Practice Perfect. This is written by popular online PRESENT editor Jarrod Shapiro, DPM, who now has taken his post as full time faculty at the Western University College of Podiatric Medicine, and shares his insight on what you need to know to become an effective practicing podiatrist. On Wednesday nights, Residency Insight will show up in your email InBox. This great resource contains helpful hints, discussions, and case presentations, often detailing surgical procedures. We also provide you reviews of the most important journal articles with a biweekly medical and podiatric periodical review aptly entitled, Journal Club.
One key goal for 2010-2011 is to expand the role of PRESENT Podiatry in fostering a sense of community among the podiatric residency programs.
