CLICK ON IMAGE TO GO TO LECTURE
Dr Bakotic describes the broad spectrum of neoplastic and non-neoplastic skin lesions that should be considered in the differential diagnosis when assessing a "pigmented lesion" of the skin. In addition, he elaborates on the current status of the traditional melanoma classification system and provides insight into the highly variable clinical appearance of melanoma. He concludes by summarizing the indications for cutaneous biopsy and noting the biopsy technique of choice. This beautifully illustrated lesson will get you up to speed on identifying those dark spots that you observe on patients' legs every day. Most importantly, after viewing this lecture, you will know which ones to biopsy and which to ignore.
