She also discusses the importance of CPT Category III Code assignments to emerging technologies such as near-infrared spectroscopy imaging, how hospital owned outpatient wound/ulcer management provider-based departments (PBDs), physicians, and other qualified healthcare professionals (QHPs) should report the appropriate CPT Category III Codes, as well as review the documentation necessary to support the use of emerging technologies and to educate payers.
