Topical Wound Oxygen Therapy:
The Pandemic and the New Paradigm

This presentation will review the science behind oxygen therapy for chronic wounds and, specifically, that pertaining to cyclical-pressure topical wound oxygen therapy. We will also discuss the evidence supporting topical wound oxygen therapy in diabetic foot and venous leg ulcers supplemented by case examples.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Review the role of oxygen therapy in wound healing.
  2. Discuss the published evidence pertaining to cyclical-pressure topical wound oxygen therapy for wound healing.
  3. Identify types of wounds for which cyclical-pressure topical wound oxygen therapy can be beneficial.
